Safeguarding

Every school is required to refer their concerns to the MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub). While we will seek to discuss these concerns with the family and where possible seek agreement to making the referral, this will only be done where such discussion and agreement seeking will not place a child at increased risk of significant harm. This procedure is intended to protect children from abuse. When we refer a concern about a pupil to the MASH we are not accusing the parents/carers of abuse, but requesting that further enquiries take place and that and necessary help and support is provided.
