Year 2 - Bees

Year 2

Bees

Welcome to Bees Class!

Today is a great day to learn something new!

We love to learn in Year 2 and our curriculum is jam packed with opportunities to be active, practical and creative. Mrs Dallison is our Class Teacher and she loves it when we try our best and feel proud of ourselves. Mrs Beardsley teaches us on a Tuesday and Mrs Daws and Mrs Lodhi are our Year 2 Teaching Assistants and give us additional support with our learning.

Here's some key information about Year 2 for Autumn Term 1:

  • PE is on a Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure your kit is in school all week
  • Bring your coat with you every day. We can't rely on English weather to be consistent and we love to go outdoors!
  • Make sure you've got your water bottle, reading book and spelling book in school every day.
  • Put your name in all of your belongings, particularly school jumpers, so that they get returned easily if they get left around school.
  • Please don't bring in any toys from home.

We'd love all of our Year 2 children to be Rainbow Readers! Read at home regularly to work your way up the rainbow and onto the solar system. We recommend reading at least 3 times per week. Make sure you sign your child's reading diary because every 20 reads gain a certificate and a book and if you get to the end of the rainbow you receive a snazzy badge to wear proudly and a book voucher!
