Foundation 2 - Butterflies
Welcome to Foundation 2
Butterflies
Welcome to Butterflies Class!
The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn!
We love to learn in Foundation and we are given lots of opportunities to be active and creative whilst exploring the world around us.
Mrs Spencer is our Class Teacher. She will encourage us to try our best and build our skills ready for the rest of our education. Mrs Wilson teaches us on a Wednesday and Miss Parnell is our Teaching Assistant, giving us additional support with our learning.
Here's some key information about Foundation Stage:
- PE is on a Thursday. Please make sure your kit is in school all week, it will be sent home at the end of every half-term to be washed.
- Bring your coat with you every day. We can't rely on English weather to be consistent and we love to go outdoors!
- Make sure you've got your water bottle, reading book and reading diary in school every day.
- Put your name in all of your belongings, particularly school jumpers, so that they get returned easily if they get left around school.
- Please don't bring in any toys from home.
We'd love all of our Foundation Stage children to be Rainbow Readers! Read at home regularly to work your way up the rainbow and onto the solar system. We recommend reading at least 3 times per week. Make sure you sign your child's reading diary because every 20 reads, gains a certificate and a book and if you get to the end of the rainbow you receive a snazzy badge to wear proudly and a book voucher!
